I'm about to install a bootable version of 9 on a separate partition on my 15" Ti 1 ghz
For Quark use what's the best way to go -- all the way to 9.2, or stop at 9.1.x
Seem to recall 9.2 is really a "classic layer" implementation of 9 and may/does not have all the functionality of 9.1.x such as some control panels, control strip, perhaps.
Any advice welcome,
Thanks

I use Quark 4.14 (whatever the latest 4.x version is) in OS 9.2.2 and have not experienced any problems. I'd say go for it--earlier versions of 9 had various bugs which may not affect Quark but will affect overall stability.

Doesn't matter, it sucks on either. Try the demo version of InDesign on OS X.

You're so right, I should have stayed with the pirated copy of Q v.4 I was using. Foolish me decided to go legit on all my software and look at what it got me: a shitty version of Q. Heck, I can't even use the friggin' installer CD in the drive on my Ti PowerBook.
Quark v.5 blows in every way, shape and form.
One of the printers I work with tells me they now *prefer* ID files over Q because they have fewer problems. Go figure.
