I have a CD that mounts two volumes on the desktop when inserted into the CD drive. One volume is an Audio CD and the other is the name of a volume where the contents are video and html files. I want to make a back up copy of this disk. What is the proper way to duplicate this CD so that it will play in regular CD players as well as my computer?

Use Disc Copy in OS X. I've done it before. I'm not sure if Toast will copy everything though.

There are two disk volumes that show up on the desktop when the original CD is mounted. Do I try and drag both of them onto Disk Copy's window to create and image or should I make a single folder of all the contents of the CD and drag that onto it?

I have not tried it, but I imagine if you burn the two volumes you see as separate sessions they will have the same behavior. be sure to burn the audio part first, as CD players only read the first session. The only problem I can think of is if there is a Windows volume you can't see, I don't know of a way to copy that. But Toast has a Device Copy feature, that reads not the mounted volumes, but whatever is in your device. I think this feature makes absolute bit-for-bit copies. this might be easier and more accurate

You could try making a DiskCopy image, and then burn the image.

Select 'New Image from Device' and set the format to 'CD/DVD Master'

I've never tried with a multi-session CD, but this method works for HFS/ISO hybrid discs.
I'm cookoo for Cocoa Apps!
