Hello. I own a popular graphic design resource site. We recently introduced a new forum / message board and we need to get it started with some posts in order to get other people to post. Don't take it personal but that is one unattractive site, it is especially strange as it is a Art and Graphic design site.

First, wow...the colors really make you think. For a graphic design site, you really should have no more than 4 total colors to make it attractive. Also, the forums? Should try phpBB2 or something else...something that is easy to navigate.

It seems like there are a lot of resources, but it's not well organized. It makes me wonder if they hired a graphic designer to do the site.

no more than four colors? hmmm...sounds like a foolish rule. i'd put that one with david oligvy's famous (infamous) quote about never reversing copy.
don't get me wrong, www.allgraphicdesign.com is poorly designed for a design resource. it looks more like a site for some breakfast cereal.

Ya it is not the number of colours but the poor choice of them.
