Canvas 8 crash/hangs in OS X?

I don't know how many people out there uses Deneba Canvas 8, but I found I often crash or hangs Canvas 8.

At times when I try to resize a text element, the cursor sort of slows down for about 2-3 seconds, before the whole systems complete freeze: cannot move cursor, clock doesn't refresh, keyboard completely freeze (caps lock light doesn't even response when pressed). At times if I have iTunes running in the background, the output would sounds like it is continuously jumping track forever (but I was playing MP3 files). If I have an active telnet session to the affected machine from another machine, it the session would also completely hangs.

Has anyone has similar problems? Any workarounds or solutiuon?? I am using B&W G3 with OS X 10.1.5.
