How do people go about making good folder icons?! Some of theme look VERY good around the net. It has to be more than Illustrator and Photoshop...

Do people use 3D programs or some other software?

I am not asking how to use Icon builder and all that... just wanna know what they design them in.

Which Icon Set are you talking about? Very few icon sets was done in 3D but most of them are done in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Honestly Photoshop can do pretty much anything including making 3D-looking folder without the uses of 3D softwares

I mean like for example the Snow E icons and stuff like that...

For Snow E.8, they're definitely rendered using a 3D software.

I think it's more of skills rather than "special" software to help design icons
