Perhaps an old mac drawing program exists that I can use with OS 9 that could allow me to do the following:
I create drawings that are used as blueprints for the construction of sculptures. All the sculptures are created by drawing "blocks," one block = one pixel. I'm looking for a paint program that will allow both drawing pixel by pixel like this, and will allow the overlapping of images.
A real life equivalent of this process would be drawing 2 images, one on paper and on on glass, and sliding the glass over the paper image.
I now have a mac on which I run OS 9. I started making these drawings from my first lap top w/ WIN 3.1; I used the built-in paint programs. They were very basic, which is exactly what I need. The drawings I want to make consist of black patterns on a white background. I create these patterns by selecting an area with both white and black pixels, copy them, and move them. When selected, the white background is transparent. On my Mac's 0S 9, the Color It program is exactly what I want, except it seemingly does not offer the option of transparency with in a selection.
If your folks can help me with this I will be both happy and grateful! I no longer use PC and really want to return to these drawings. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are too complex for this type of image.
