Depends on your version. In ImageReady 7, you set the optimization settings on a slice-by-slice basis. Select your slice with the slice select tool. Open your Optimize palette (under Window menu). Choose your settings there. Repeat for each slice (or select more than one slice at once to apply to all at once). You can preview how the compression will affect the image if you choose "2-up" or "Optimized" in the view tabs at the top.

Happy Optimizing!

Do you guys notice that it takes IR7.0 really really long to save the optimized files? I think the reason behind it is that there are too many slice pictures.(about 30) what do you guys think?

Its slower than I'd like (I'd be happy if the files were saved by the time I got over to my browser and refreshed) Usually its fine, but the thing I hate is how you have to approve overwrites. Is there a way to turn that off, I wonder.
