I don't even think its been updated in the past 5 years to be honest, so I'm gonna guess and say it won't make it. Not sure of any similar apps though.

freehand does a passible job at Vectorising bitmaps - much the same quality as Streamline, maybe not quite the same as Flash (gawd I'm really getting annoyed with Flash)

As for Illustrator... me don't know!

Theres a lot of other programs doing stuff with vectors as well. I've just been playing with the Cinema 4D flash export bit, and it looks rather spiffy, lots of control, and you can use the cartoon renderer for it, so no need for those horrible jaggy vector attempts at a contone texture...
Hark, I hear a robin sig'ing in the trees!
Nae, there is no sog to be sug,
or am I wrog? Why can't I sig?

Would this be something Adobe would incorporate into the next upgrade of Illustrator? It is rather frustrating not having it - even on those rare occasions that I do use it.

Someone just mentioned in another forum that Corel Trace for OSX is comparable to Streamline. I'm not endorsing it or anything, but I may give it a try since I love Streamline (but hate that it launches Classic every time I start it up!).

Maybe worth a try?
