Well, It sure ain't 4.7G. The disc (DVD-R) I want to burn is coming in at an estimated 4.1G. Size bar is still in the silver, but the thing chokes without a valid "dual layer marker point" or somesuch.

I'd be willing to experiment. In fact, I am experimenting. The problem is, soon I'm going to need to make a dual layer disk, and as I can't burn a test off of my superdrive, I'm trying to avoid a situation where the silver bar/estimated size says I'm okay, and then have to rebuild the whole deal (and re-cart the thing 40 miles away to my duplication house), because it's 200MB too large.

Any help would be appreciated!

A DVD-R is 4700000000 bytes, which is a little over 4.3 GB total.

Thanks!

It wont let me burn with an estimated size of 3.9G, so I think something else is afoot.

Thanks again!
