Hello, I work for a prepress shop and we are fairly new to osx. We now have about 10 machines that are running x and half of them are having issues viewing fonts on the server. When you mount the server
(win 2000) you can see all the fonts but they all have the same icon, while some of the macs see a seperate icon for screen or printer fonts. Has anyone seen this or have any ideas for me?

First of all, are the fonts that you're trying to look at on the server Mac fonts? Only truetypes are suppossed to be cross-platform, and they have their own set of issues.

Also, are you using suitcase, etc? What version, and are you running it under X or classic?

Thanks for the reply, all the fonts are mac fonts. We are not having this issue viewing them through suitcase 10 but through osx 10.2.6 itself, opening and viewing through a mounted server. I even tried it on a new mac with no apps loaded yet and and it had the same issue. All the icons are the same.
