This is the error I get everytime I try.

"The recording device reported the media error: Power calibration area error. (0x73, 0x03.)"

I've tried from multiple accounts, restarting the computer in safe mode. running fsck. I've even reinstalled iDVD 3.

Any help would be much appreciated.

since it's a media error, what media are you using?

Apple DVD-R disks.
I've tried both their 1x and 2x disks.
