I have installed a postscipt rip on my OS9 in order to get better proof in quark and page layout for clients. (I am new at this.) The epson 1280 prints beautiful photos out of photoshop but when I want to print page layout proofs and am trying to match Pantone colors the colors is very dark and much richer than than pantone samples. What do I do?
I have talked to epson and they have changed the driver, but I an still having the same problem.
are you matching to exact pantone chips, or are you trying to mask to cmyk values? you probably won't hit an exact pantone chip match... you have better odds with cmyk values... esp with that kind of printer.
