[Hamgard]

Hi

I'm a graphics novice, but I've taken on the task of changing a charity's logo to a more modern look. It comprises a yellow sun image with its aura reaching out like a starburst.

I'd like to turn the graphic into a mercury/metallic look symbol, keeping the same yellow but introducing a fluid highlight - if you follow my meaning.

Is there any body out there who can advise on how (or if) this can be done?

airbrush with a low opacity with a medium length fade, some lighting effects and you are all good.

put a random off canvas mark as to where your lightsource is and apply highights as they would in real life from a lightsource at that position.

Thanks for what sounds good advice. However, I'm not sure what you mean. I'm a real novice don't forget!
