Adobe CS! Of course I'm posting this after it's been annouced.

I've been waiting for CS to be annouced for me to purchase my student copies of the software... now it's only a few months away!

This past weekend at ATypI in Vancouver a couple of Adobe ppl were giving presentations on various features of the new software (I'm sure this is nothing new to many people here, the beta's are around for testing) however, the most interesting was the presentation on how the single/multi line composers actually function... and being a little familiar with programming it's amazing how math is used to perform such subjective design problems.

Blah Blah Blah.... I'm writing this sitting in Vancouver Airport since I misbooked my flight and I'm actually 24hours late for it.... I'm very glad they havn't taken out their wireless system.

Goodnight! (kinda)
Yose.

New features in Photoshop CS will be definitely worth the upgrade for me.

Four new features that will be very important to me:

• Shadow/Highlight correction
• Integrated digital camera raw file support
• Layer Comps
• Customizable keyboard shortcuts

Adam, What are layer comps?

I'm looking into buying it, but I think I'm going to need to get a couple paying jobs before I can justify buying more software. Why does money have to be so elusive?!

I know what it is for but I'm not good at explaining it. Here's the description from their website:

Create design variations for clients more efficiently by saving different combinations of layers within the same file as Layer Comps.

Yeah, I read on the website, but I guess my reading comprehension is at an all time low, because I didn't get what was so great about it. I don't see how it is much different than Layer Sets.

It's good for showing clients several different styles in one same photoshop file. That way it will be less cluttering.

Right now I usually create multiple photoshop files just to use different styles. That's why I think this feature will be useful for me.
