Hey there,
I'm really new to Flash (not the concept/uses, but the creation)... I've just downloaded the LiveMotion 2 30-Day Tryout. In any case, I just want to do really simple fades of some words/logo. My problem is this:
- When I Export it, the .swf file looks like it's been "shifted" over one pixel down the middle, please see here
SWF
On something like this, how can I get it to stay true and not have the pixels skew down the middle?
Thanks in advance,
BD

You usually have to screw with each one a little differently depending on use, but a couple of things that have worked for me:
1) if you have a photo or artwork that shifts in animation try breaking the source down as far as you can (cmnd-b)
and..
2) make sure that the object is placed at a whole number location such as x 100 y100 as opposed to x101.2 y141.7
it is very minor tweaks like this that will polish out those problems

Yeah this is an annoying issue, that still hasn't been solved with flash mx
The logo is one big graphic right? In that case, export it as a PNG from photoshop, but give about 50 pixels of transparent space around each edge of the image, if you know what i mean.
Also, make sure smoothing for the bitmap is turned off (double click the bitmap icon in the library window)

Thanks for the tips... I'll be giving them all a try. It also looks like if I use the vector version of the logo, that it doesn't degrade like it did (choppy) when it was raster.
See ya,
BD
