Illustrator 10 crashes on startup all the time at work, with lot's of different machines. It is the only program I have ever seen lock up OSX completely.

Out of curiosity, are you running a network version of the software or is it on a single computer?

Wired behaviour! I have it on an iBook 12" 800 but at work on a dual G4 1.25... same crashes... OS 10.2.8
Might come from suitcase.... anyway, I still don t know if 11 is faster or more reliable.. will have to update anyway! ;o)

It is single versions on computers running 10.2.6 on a network (but it's been happening since 10.2.4, the earliest build we have been using)

I was having a lot of instability and problems until I installed the 10.0.3 patch. Then all was well.
