I couldn't find any utility to edit the contents of Suitcases. Say 1 font in a suitcase is damaged and I want to remove it, or I want to combine all my helvetica's into one suitcase, or get rid of the many point sizes of the screen fonts - how can I do this? I know I can boot into 9 and accomplish the task - but that's a chore.

We used to be able to open a suitcase and fiddle with it under 9. And now?

Don't get me started on this HUGE oversight on Apple's part.
It seems the only way to edit a suitcase is to use ≤OS9.

Though I would be happy to find out otherwise.

I wish this could be done like in OS 9... the only way to do any of this (combining suitcases, removing damaged fonts and bitmaps and the like) is to buy Font Doctor, which does a pretty good job of cleaning up and repairing fonts.

I'm using FontAgent Pro. I'm very satisfied with it. It doesn't create suitcases. It groups the fonts by family. You can download it and try it for free. I did and then I bought it ($99.00).
I have NO PROBLEMS with my fonts since.
