haven't looked thru the whole thing yet, but noticed a few things on the 'remygirl' section:

-you have resized full images loading instead of separate thumbnails. this is a pet peeve of mine. it may make for quick loadin when someone clicks on the thumbnail, but initially loading the page takes awhile. and maybe i don't want to view all of the images (that's why i can choose based on the thumbnails)

-the 01, 02, 03, etc.. tabs are very very small.

-the grey buttons on the white background are a bit lite for my taste.

general:

-i like the transitions between the various images in the flash portion in the lower right of the site. slick.

marne semick:

-light blue on white is a bit hard on the eyes.

bill nye:

-am i missing something? is this just showcasing the flash detection splash screen?

Hey Demonhood,

Thanks for replying.

I understand your critique of Remygirl. I chose that way because I knew the images would be of a certain size, and this way it provides an automatic loading reference. I wish I could make it load them one at a time, but whatever. But it's a good point you make.

Bill Nye uses a hidden frame to pop a new window. If you're using Safari or have pop-up blocking, you have to turn it off momentarily to have the window load. It's the most compatible manner to pop a window in almost any browser, but now it's less desirable, but out of my hands.

How did you do that image transition in Flash? I've been trying to do something similar but have never succeeded.

Nice looking, stylish site. Although it's another one from the 'dusty cowboy' school of web design as k10k would say

Mac Guru: the only way of doing those sort of transitions is by blurring a few frames in Photoshop, importing them, then using alpha tweens

The 'destruk' in the upper left-hand corner needs to take me to the home page.

Dusty cowboy indeed. I did see that WDDG about a year ago when they launched. Must have subliminally influenced me. Or web design brain control lasers perhaps.

Nice job. I like the easy navigation and unique style - you were able to make incoporate colors like red and pink with appeal. Kudos!

Also, nice work on the Bill Nye flash project. I was a great fan of his back in the day, and had seen his evolution flash chart from a design publication (I wasn't able to access it today, though). I remember it being a fun animation that fit his quirky sense of humor!

Anyway, keep up the good work.
