It's very sad to hear that Adobe has put the development of the PageMaker into rest. It was the program of my choice for my school projects back in the early 1990's, and certainly it helps me to create a lot of stunning presentations (photos with graphics + text) back in my high school era.

no no, the clients will never upgrade. Or use style sheets.

Or master pages.

Or the color palette.

Or anything really useful that PageMaker had.

They will all be too scared/cheep to use InDesign.

And maybe that's good, and they will pay us more to do them.

Excellent.

Ha!

You just described my day (and evening) to a T!
A big smile has appeared on my face as I know that someone else realizes that it is the user- not necessarly the program that consistently drives me up a wall- and out to the bar after work!

Goodbye RAGEMAKER!

Adobe has not done anything new with PageMaker for years. There was never going to be an OSX version, and all the updates have been minor. This is an excellent chance to upgrade to a superior product with superior features. I wrote more about this on my site, for those interested.
