if i have a picture of say a house but there is a large skip in the front of the picture,- which i dont want. is there a quick way to get rid of it?

I no i can use the clone stamp tool and spend years removing it but is there not a tool that i can just set to get rid of that skip and leave all tones and lighting where it should be? therefore giving a presentable picture after that could be used to sell that house.

sometimes you can use the marquis tool to select and copy a piece of the image adjacent to the hole. then paste it into a second layer and reposition to obscure the hole / skip. from there you can erase / delete the edges to hide the patch – often it works best to feather the edges.

* this is the fast and dirty way sometimes used for comping purposes. *
