I have lots of photos taken with a digital camera some of which I would like to send to my dad via e mail. The problem is the photos are 1,5 meg and he only has a 56k modem with a 1,0 meg mail box restriction.

Is there some way I can create copies at a lower resolution / size in order to send some to him? The quality would obviously be worse but it's not a problem as it's not as if he will be printing them out.

Download ImageWell and reduce the physical size of the image. It's a FREE application that lives in your menu bar. There is a help button in the app to show you how to use the features - it isn't a complicated app, btw.

You could also use iPhoto or GraphicConverter to reduce the size of the photos.

I use freePhotoConverter 2
It is free and very easy to use - just drag and drop.
Check for it on versionTracker.

Thanks for the replies, I settled on FreePhotoConverter as I preferred something not in my menubar which is already quite full
