Football season is over, and the work slows down for me. (guess what industry I work in!)
SO, since I decided not to relax till summer, (I could use the extra bucks this year) the question is:
Who do you think is the best freelance website for getting work?

None of them. They are all the same -- stuffed full of mediocre designers that will undercut your price every time, and "clients" who don't understand why a logo costs more than $50. You're better off marketing yourself through traditional means. Those websites are a waste of time and money.
I railed against these on my site: The Pricing Wormhole

The best option is to put your work on the web and market your website (submitting to search engines, looking at sites that need updating and contact the people, etc). Unfortunately sites like careerbuilder or other employment crap do not give you what you're looking for, and if they do the client wants A+ work for C+ pay.

I must whole-heartedly agree, those sites absolutely suck. I cut my teeth on one of them when I first began doing freelance, building this site for a stupid amount of money, which the client never even ended up paying me in full for.
Here's a great example:
-----
"l want a webpage design similar to Paypal payment website for Africa with capabilities to receive and send money out of africa. Goto www.paypal.com or www.xcompte.com to see similar site.
:: Hourly Pay Rate: Not Specified
:: Estimated Value: $200.00
-----"
I guess Africa will just have to rely on spam to get their gold bars out of the country.

While I thought there would be ONE good site out there; I'm not surprised by your reviews. I guess I'll stick to "Old Reliable" and talk to the local design houses for overflow work.
Thanks for the input!
