Is there a simple way to change the colour of the page in Freehand (MX) and/or Quark (4.1)?

I want to create a document with white text on black. Do I have to draw a box the exact size of the page and fill it with colour?

At least in freehand, there is no way of doing that, so you'll have to use the solid rectangle at the size of your canvas.
