In short. I would like to find a program to:
Take a graphic (gif or jpeg most likely) as input
run it through the "analyzer" and report back:
1. how many pixels have what RGB value (e.g. 2% have RGB of 255,30,185, 30% have RGB of 30,0,210, etc.
2. if it spots a reptition of a pattern, report back that if found one & where.
e.g. say the graphic is one of red & white stripes, horizontally, then if it spots that pattern report back that the red stripes are 50 pixels wide and the white stripes are 80 pixels wide (or whatever)
1 and/or 2 do not have to be performed by same program. That is, if program X does 1 and program Y does 2, that would be OK.
I am not sure if I have the terminology right, as a real neophyte with graphic design.
If you need to know what we will do with the program(s) glad to fill in the details.
