I just purchased this 1.25 GHz Powerbook with Panther 10.3.2 and I tried to install Adobe Creative Suite Premium and it won't work. I put the disk the first install disc in and then it tries to read it then pops it back out. My PB reads all the other discs that came with the Adobe product. I tried the 1st install disc on my friend Ti PB and it worked on his. I spent many hours on the phone with adobe and Apple but they were no help. Also, they sent me another copy but the same thing happened. I need help!!

You may have a bum cd drive, or it's going bad. I had a drive on my G4 do kinda the same thing. CD drives will get fickle when they start going south. If you're close to an Apple dealer, take your iBook in and they should help you. HTH

I finially got the program installed on my apple, but not with the cd dive. I had my friend run the disk on his apple and then sent me the files from the discs. and installed from there. I burnt the files to a disc which my PB reads now. Im upset with apple because I bought a $2300 computer and something is messed up with it. But S#!t happen.

I'm gonna agree with kdogg73 and say that you got a bad drive with that computer. Don't be to mad at apple, bad parts happen and all you can do is bug apple enough to convince them that it needs to be sent in for repairs. You did the right thing by contacting both involved and by getting a second cd from adobe you rulled out the possibility of a bad cd. They could both be bad but the chances of you getting two bad cd's from the same company like that would not be likely. Good luck with getting it fixed.
