Hi there

I'm really stumped on this one and the deadline is approaching...

I have a movie being loaded into Level 1 - this is happening during the first frame of the main movie:

loadMovieNum("mediamaster.swf", 1);
stop();

When I create a projector, it plays fine from my drive. However, when I burn it to a CD or move it to my pen-drive (for testing), the Level 2 movie WON'T LOAD. This is only happening when playing the projector from removable media - frightening, since I'm building a CD-ROM.

I've tried renaming the movie, changing it's Level, etc. I've also created projectors from other movies in the project - the problem seems to be that Projectors playing from
removable media won't load things into new levels.

Another issue, that may be related(?): When I make a projector, my main movie's .swf file disappears from the folder. Very bizzare.

Any thoughts? This just seems totally inexplicable - a projector that works from one location, but not another.

I'm praying for a wise Flasher out there...

Thanks
Ben

Right. I've tested the projectors outside of the main folder (containing all the .swfs) and I have the same problem.

So, my Projectors are only working when running from a folder containing all the .swf files - but I thought the whole point of a Projector is that it is totally self-contained?

Any thoughts?

That's the way it should be!

When you are making a projector file ..it only builds the projector for the original .swf. It still needs to seek and load all the other .swfs!

Just keep everything in the same folder and burn the whole lot to disc.

Thanks Plot - this is what I've just figured out. I thought that, somehow, a Projector could compact/contain all the required files.

or you could double check that youre including the swf from the library that you want to be loaded later into the projector, its in the library options somewhere.
