Ok, I'm wanting to learn the ins and outs of Illustrator, but being an "analog' kind of guy, I would be doing a lot of illustration on paper and scanning in line art. I need to be able to convert said line art into vector, but Streamline is A) basically dead software and B) doesn't work in OS X. Both of those reasons are enough to give me pause to purchase it at $125.
Silohuette is supposedly great, but at $300, it's out of my range for a one-trick pony.
Are there any other good alternatives out there?
