Hi All,

Does anyone know of any sites that provide vector art for download? I'm looking for vector's of a person's profile from the front, back and two sides. Does anyone know of such sites?

Thanks

Hmmm, true. But if I remember correctly streamline is no longer being made and only runs on os 9. Plus, I cant just use any photo since I dont want the profile's to represent/look like any single person, rather they should be an over all resemblance of a person with no person specific features (big nose, small mouth, watever...)

you can still buy streamline.
it runs in classic if you're using osx.
you can alter the outlines to look anyway you so desire.

Yes, but I no longer have classic installed nor do I want to re-install it. All I want to know is if anyone knows of sites that supply vector art for download, or if anyone has profile shots I could use??

Thanks for the replies

I know that this is another answer that you are not specifically looking for:-)

I do not personally know of a site. But you might do a google search for eps clpart or freehand clipart etc.

It seems like most vector programs (FH and Illustrator) often come with a "clipart" disk. I know the quality is often mediocre, but quality is not important if they have what you are looking for.

If you are looking for a straight sillioette (sp?) it would seem pretty fast to do you own from a photo and just modify it so it doesn't look specific.

I believe the latest versions of Illustrator emply tracing features like that.
If not, check out flash. It will do it for you.

Illustrator's AutoTrace tool sucks!

Flash is WAY better.

Not sure from everyone else's responses if you are in the need for clip art resource, but I have a membership to clipart.com you can do searches that only bring up vector eps art.

I pay like $100 a year and have unlimited downloading. (Supposedly I get a discount because I member of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). - But there are various membership options...

Anyways, depending on what your in need of I've found it useful for newsletters and getting base icons and then improving. Some of it is kinda cheesy but there is enough good stuff and volume that I can justify the cost.

Hope that helps.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. Like someone suggested I made my own using photo's and freehand. I will also have a look at a few clipart sites!

Thanks again
