One you've loaded a particular button or graphic or movie into a flash movie is flash smart enough to remmber that you've loaded this object and use the same object over and over instead of trying to load it every time?

perhaps I am not following the question properly but if you import the button and make it a symbol, then it is part of the library, and therefore as it is added to the scene it simply needs to load the one time...

I am not an expert, just a nOOb trying stuff at home. I have been building on this assumption. Gosh I hope I have not been going about it the wrong way.

as long as it's in the library it only needs to load into memory once, no matter how many instances of that symbol are in the scene(s). the exception would be if you "break apart" the symbol to edit individually.
