I'm confused as to what's going on with these, but in awe because it's very cool. Could somebody clue me in to how this was done?

I think they just used a movie clip as a mask over the top picture, and changed the width of it according to where the mouse position is.

Let me know if you want a sample knocking up, it's a pretty simple job.

Seems like some pretty hevy action scripting
