Quark begins counter attack.

I wonder who's gonna pick up that contract?

"Hey, look two new versions of Quark!"

"Uh, so what are the new features?"

"Well, 6.5 can make 700$ disappear really fast, and 7.0 can make 1300$ disappear really fast!"

Ha ha ha!

If Quark's previous delivery date estimates are anything to go by we'll all be using InDesign 5 by the time we see Quark 7.

An online font shop to "enable users to quickly purchase fonts that are missing from documents obtained from third parties"? Yeah, 'cause that's what we do when we're not supplied fonts for output, we buy them at our cost! Just shows how out of touch with the industry Quark has become.

Still, you've gotta admire their spirit - they're not just gonna roll over and die.

Anyway godzookie2k, I thought we'd converted you to the Jedi ways of InDesign? Don't tell us you're contemplating rejoining the Dark Side...

Oh, and no mention of the latest round of web publishing features, maybe they've finally got the message about that?

I'm cool with Quark 6.1...

I use ID as well but most of my clients require Quark.

Healthy competition is great.
