Three months ago, I am working at someone else's computer. I created and saved three huge Quark files. (100mb each, roughly, full of pictures and text). Each was one third of a magazine I was working on. I back up these files to a portable LaCie drive and take it home. I am going to be working from my home on the magazine.
Last week I buy my very own Quark 6.1
For some reason, the first third Quark file of the magazine won't open. because it insists it's a Quark Passport file!!! The other two open just fine.
Neither me or the other computer I worked on had Quark Passport on it.
I need to get this file open to re-use the front-matter stuff, or I'm gonna have to re-do all the boring "every issue" stuff... like the indicia and mastheads and blah blah blah... and I don't really have the time...
Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions? I'm gonna try to e-mail Quark about it, but with their rep, I thought I'd try here first...
Oh... BTW... both computers were Macs running OSX... the other one had Panther, I'm running 10.2.8, but I can't imagine that would make a diff...
