Im looking at getting a slightly larger tablet. Right now Im looking at the Intuos2 and Graphire3 both in 6x8.

Which of the two (or another one) do you recomend?

I use a 6x8 Intuos2, myself. I like the higher level of pressure sensitivity, especially when touching-up photos or drawing in Illustrator. I think the pen it comes with is more comfortable and the cordless mouse it comes with is nice too.

It is more expensive, though. But they last for freaking ever.

One word of advice...if you have more than one user on your Mac and use fast-user-switching (I'm assuming you're using OSX 10.3+) make sure you go to Wacom's support area and download the latest driver for the Intuos. It's the only one that works with fast-user-switching.

Have fun!

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with the intuos2 over the graphire for the exact reasons you mentioned. Pricey yes, but I figured it would last a long time like you said thus it would be a wise investment. I wish Wacom would give up on the dinky mouse they bundle with their tablets so that they could lower the price a little. They're crazy to think Id use it over my logitech mx500 which absolutly rocks.

So far so good

They didn't used to put a mouse in with the tablet. For me, it was a nice thing since all I had at the time was the Apple mouse that came with the G5.

If you want to talk about "wish they would give up on...", that one-button mouse is it.
