What format did you buy the comic book set in? I'm confused.

I gotcha. I would check out iView. It has great cataloging and viewing features.

and very easy-to-use. My only comment is to make sure you explore it completely before doing the whole thing. There are many fatures to be set and setting them right the first time is the best way to go.
Keep in mind, those scans could get PRETTY large.

would it not be feasible (and smaller in size) to can each page into a pdf?
I think there are around 50 comics in the set, one pdf file for each comic?

I suppose- if you can scan directly as a pdf. Otherwise- you have two files still. Also, it would depend what job settings you use and how you set up the pdf. But for retrieval and and such acrobat would be more complex if you ever do need to find a specifics, you'd have to open each pdf.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

I just want to be able to keep each page in one "document" and view them in their original from whenever, so I do not have have to crack the covers again
I have an idea just wondering if there is a better way to do it

Scan the comic book pages hi rez what ever you do. Keep the hi rez scans, and then you can do what ever lo or hi rez thing you want after that. You will always have the hi rez scan to go back to, and never have to open the comic books again. I think a set of hi rez pdf's would be good. If you need the pdf in a smaller mb size for email or something, you can always re-distill it.....

look up how to rar things, make a .cbr, and use a dedicated comic book reader program like like the aptly named "comic book viewer". thats how all the illegal comic books online are distributed... I heard.
