then i found out indesign can convert quark files up to version 4.2...and my file is quark 6.1

ah jesus any1 know a work around? or if u know how quark 6.1 can make smaller pdfs

is it possible to save the 6.1 quark as a 4.1 quark (i know that 4.1 quark can backsave) and then try it, or are there features in it that a specific to 6.1?

no, it is not possible. you would have to save the 6.1 file to 5. then save the 5 file to 4.

just one more reason quark blows.
