I have a DVD full of NEF files (Nikon's propietery RAW image file) that I need to change into a format that I can edit in photoshop. Nikon wants to charge me some crazy amount of money for Nikon Capture (which is interesting because the package doesn't come with a Nikon digital SLR either), and I've found two other apps that will convert the images: qimage and bibble. unfortunately, they're for windows.
iphoto will open the files, but they seem to be converted to a tiff file that's only 160px X 120 px. not useful.
can anyone here point me towards an os x application that will convert these NEFs into full size jpgs, tiffs, or something similar?

Sorry I don't know of any apps (except PhotoShop or Nikon Capture), I generally use jpg for my Nikon D70.
You could check out the Nikonians Software Forum, might point you in the right direction.
