We are needing an application that will allow us to reshape 2-D graphics and provide info about the size(s) within their perimeter - perhaps in pixels. It’ll have to handle several layers. We’re constrained to os 9.1.

The immediate need is an app that can import plats in tif format - a couple of layers. Then we need a layer on top to draw 2D irregular shapes which can be modified on any side. We also need fairly exact size info on any of these shapes - in either pixels, inches, feet, or other units.

We’ll need to do a couple of different overlay layers with different types of layers.

All of them will have to be transparent layers.

Surely there’s a budget conscious app’n to handle this fairly unsophisticated need..?
Quark and Photoshop don’t seem to be the ticket.
Amorphium 3.1 looks like a candidate, but I haven't found specific information yet.
WorksWell 2.0.4 was recommended, but only works with osX.
EazyDraw ditto.

Any other suggestions, or comparisons..?

Who is this "we" you speak of, and what's an "App'n?"

So you're looking for an app that can resize and give dimensions on 2D graphics... why not PS? They offer a measuring tool.

"We" is us blokes at the connundrun factory.

"We" can't seem to find something that will give us the feedback
"we" can feed off of.

Who is this "PS" you speak of..?
_our_ v.4.Photoshop hasn't been kind enough to offer up easy layering, 2D drawing -and info pertinent thereto- sufficient for our needs.

In fact, it's been a pain in the butt; but maybe it's because "we" are so ignorant about computers and their "app'ns" that we can't use them coherently.

Just trying to find the right stuff. ya know..?

So far, "PS" doesn't do the job for us.

It's probably a vector based "app'n" we're looking for.

Next.....

Anybody familiar with macDraft..?

Photoshop 4?

Is that right?

That's 4 versions back. Even Photoshop 6 is OS 9, i think. No wonder it isn't cutting it. Am I missing something?

this sounds borderline troll, or you've accidentally walked though a wormhole transporting you 5 years in the future.
