Made my Xmas cards using Freehand. All the guides are set so that objects are perfectly located for when I fold the A4 twice to make the card.

I export to pdf. Save to CDRW then use the HP laser printers at my school library.

The pdf looks fine on screen in OSX and Windows. But when I print using the HP laser - it cocks up all my margins; shifting objects inwards.

THe printer is a Lasrject 5000N.

Any ideas how I can get it to print to the guides and margins I have set?

Also - I'm using Apple Chancery font. This displays fine on Adobe Reader in OSX but always default to some Times New Roman style font on Reader on the Wintel machines I use to print.

Cheers folks.

Go to your page setup or printing window and uncheck or change the setting for "Shrink to fit" or "Fit to Page". The precise term is different in different versions of Acrobat and on different platforms.

What Acrobat is doing is saying, I know what your printer's limitations should be and I'll shrink all the information into that area.

This works well unless you need 'precise size or alignment'.

Hope that helps!
