Hey y'all, i know this isn't exactly on topic, but since i am a legit macnn user, i figured i could hopefully get away with it, with your mercy. Anyway, just in time for the holidays a company i work with has made available these cool t-shirts that have the name of the font, in the typeface, i.e. helvetica in helvetica. it sounds simple and it is. the shirts are pretty slick, and great gifts for any design geeks in your life. they are screened on american apparel non-sweatshop high-quality shirts and are $14.95 plus shipping. The four fonts currently available are helvetica, futura, garamond, and chicago (for all us mac lovers).

in addition to trying to sell these shirts, i was also hoping people would post what other fonts they would be interested in seeing on a shirt (trademark free fonts, that is).

thanks, and sorry in advance if anyone is upset with the commercial nature of this post, but i am a contributing community member here, so i hope it is ok.

helvetica neue 95 black.

Black or grey on a white shirt and in lower case would be cool!

I have just ordered 'Helvetica', these shirts are great.

How about Comic Sans?

KIDDING. seriously, just kidding.

How about some kind of typewriter font, American Typewriter, maybe.
The thought is that you could not only sell to designers, but writers too....
Was it for this my life I sought?

yeah, when we were designing them, we made lots of comic sans jokes. thanks to siMac for the positive comment, the helvetica shirt is probably my favorite as well. if we do new designs, courier or american typewriter and a balckletter font are probably next on the list. i really want to do caslon as well, but garamond hasn't sold very well, so probably only on serif font for awhile.

ps: to say futura is hideous is insane. simply insane.

*Slaps forehead*

Turns out I ordered the women's t-shirt by mistake, d'oh! You might want to make the website clearer by putting 'Mens' or 'Womens' in the drop down menu instead of those codes - just a thought.

Oh well, I've given it to the gf - she seems underwhelmed? Cool shirt anyway.
