I have an interview coming up and would like to know what a good range annually for a graphic designer these days?

I was making around 20-25k at my old job. So would like your input. Not sure what to tell them when they ask me what my salary requirements will be. Help me please.

Thanks. I don't want to seem greedy and state something thats too much... I'm in Houston, TX... and I have about 3+ years experience as a designer. And the company I'm applying for is a small company. Not a big corp... so take that into consideration also...

Thanks

you can always go to www.salary.com

I suggest cross-referencing the site that york911 gave you with this one.
Should give you a good idea of what to ask for.
Was it for this my life I sought?

I *strongly* urge you to do more research than what's been suggested thus far. Both of the urls posted are wonderful resources but salaries can change rapidly and these websites aren't always up-to-date.

You might consider contacting local headhunters but be warned they'll work you for the job you're looking at. Maybe pretend you're interested in their help and harvest salary information from them.

Also consider asking some of your peers for salary ranges – it's rude to outright ask what they make but you can ask what they believe what the fair market price is for your skill set and experience.

One headhunter that works a lot in Texas is Guy Tucker. Guy is based in Atlanta but he knows your market. He can be found at

Good luck,,,
