Specifically, anyone who happens to be running Illustrator 10.
I went directly from Illustrator-9 to CS. Unbeknownst to me, Adobe decided to drop the whole Pen-and-Ink/Hatch effects filter set when they made CS. This set is very important to me. I have been told that, if I had a copy of Illustrator-10, I could simply drop the Pen and Ink folder (from the Plug-Ins>Filters folder) into CS and it works. The same folder from Ill-9 doesn't work.
Anyone want to help a brother out here? Share a Pen and Ink folder?
Thanks,
Jim

I have CS but never had the earlier version. Is Pen and Ink like the Stylize > Scribble effect in CS?

No. Pen and ink is a set of crosshatching and texturing tools. VECTOR tools. Not raster-based like Scribble, and much more random. I especially liked the stipple texture. Handy when you needed a nice, paint-splatter effect for a background.

Scribble's not raster based either. It is, however, a live-updating Effect (Objects > Expand Appearance to see the vectors) - perhaps this is causing the confusion? Adobe replaced Pen & Ink with Scribble and it's companions, but it's true that you can't get exactly the same effects as before.
