Just save the ill file as an eps then import it into quark.

You can either make a picture box first and place it into there or, when you import it just click and the file will be placed. You can then move it where you want to from there.

thank you so much for your help. i will give it a try and report back.

edit:
well importing the .eps works but when i print it out, it is very aliased i simply made a picture box in quark and did File > Get Picture and chose the .eps image from there. what am i doing wrong? even when importing a .tiff file, the image is aliased as well.

Are you printing to a Postscript printer? If not, you can generate a PDF and then print that instead.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

nope, no postscript printer here. so i have to convert to pdf before printing? agh. time consuming. but if it works, hell i'll do it...be back to report in a sec. and what does the checkbox "use OPI" mean at the bottom of the "Get Picture" prompt?

edit:
i can't seem to save in pdf. it says a postscript printer must be setup to print.

go to Print
second button on the bottom of the print dialogue box is Printer...
check the printer list - is Adobe PDF in the list? really doesn't matter if it isn't.
Second button is "Save as PDF"

print the saved file.
now just so we understand what we have generated... this is NOT a high res, ready for production PDF for a 2400 DPI ImageSetter, but it is adequate for you runofthemill 300 DPI desktop printer.

You may also need the Adobe Acrobat Panther PPD file... PM me
