I've been looking for a type reunion equivalent for OS X that works with Quark and Indesign.
Does such a thing exist?

Not that I know of. Quark 6x does sort type in families as do the Adobe apps. If you run Quark 5x or 4x in "classic", Postscript (type1) fonts for example will be listed i.e, B Helvetica Bold, LB Frutiger Black. Type Reunion is available as part of ATM Deluxe which is OS9x (not OSX) compatible.
