I know there are warp tools in Illustrator- I want to warp some text- quickly. I would like to use a preset since I have to do this repetitively?

The shape is this...

I know I can warp it with top object, but the results are unpredicable...

Can I use one of the Arc settings and adjust it?

This just seems silly since I could do it easily in cirel or typestyler...

You could try warping it with a mesh... use a 2x2 grid as your mesh and raise the bottom middle handle.

what version illustrator you using?

in 10, go to: effect menu>warp>top arc and then you get a settings box to fiddle with. it doesn't save presets, but like photoshop it will save last setting used. So once you find the effect you like, (wrrite down the settings for later) you can do them all at once?

Were you looking for another way?

Well, I figured it out- just as you both said- I played with "Arc"- til I turned it into an "arch". For some reason- I just couldn't get that to come out right the other day- what ever. I was hoping I could save and re-apply- but it does go back to the same adjustment each time, so that's nice.
