I have a few people who want simple templates designed that they can have printed and then throw in thier printer. They want to lay new text and drop new pics in from time to time
Prob is they have no page layout programs..prob only have word. I don't want them calling me in two months complaining that they can't get the pics or text to line up right etc. etc.
Is there any simple solution to this that you guys know about. Maybe a simple free layout program where I can set up the template and show them a simple solution that won't confuse 'em
ideas? Thanks

don't ask..its just a job i shouldn't even call them clients.
But I'm supposed to design this thing and they are supposed to be able to keep updating it in the future
..if I use InDesign or something and deliver a PDF shell how can Word help them...
will they be able to precisely drop pictures and text with word...I'm asking because I never use word I don't know

Budster is right, you can do this in Word.
Just bring the images in, size and place them as the template needed and they should be good to go. It's not the best application for such jobs but sometimes it the most efficient if your client is lacking in the software department. This will also save you numerous headaches.

I think the headache is what he already has... by accepting this 'job'.
Just word. No PDF.
Do a Google on it.
