I've got some ads i created as recently as less than a year ago, often using a font i was always fond of on my computer -- "Architect". To the best of my knowledge i've never bought a font. For whatever reason that font is no longer on my computer; when i go to just change the text on an earlier ad, i'm told there are going to have to be font substitutions. I did a google search for fonts and was led to "fonts.com" but the architect light, architect fdamily, architect bold that they show there a) doesn't match the architect i'd used earlier and b) they want $32-$160 per.

So my questions are:
1) where would architect have come from on my computer?
2) more importantly, where would it have gone?
3) and most importantly, where do i get a replacement?

with all the free fonts i've got it's hard to imageine i'd have to pay well over 200 to get a single font in various weights, ital, etc.

appreciate your help. thanks.

There's no telling why the font just disappeared. It could have come originally packaged with some of your software.

Myfonts.com is a good place to look for fonts. Are any of these the Architect you're looking for?

neither of the fonts suggested are the one i'm looking for. but i appreciate the leads. I'm going to check some older software i have--Canvas, and others--and see if i can find where Architect originally immigrated to my system. Has to have come from somewhere!

thanks!

I used to have a font called architectura. I really liked it. It too dissapeared. As was mentioned before it may have been part of some software that you removed.

To the best of your knowledge? In other words, you've never paid for one but don't want to come out and admit it.
