Hi there,

I think vertus was a really old plug-in maker - say 5years ago, I think extensis bought them - the mask pro plug-in I think is what that became.

There was a freebie which was remove white from a layer (not background) around the time of ps4 but I think it would break now.

quest.

Hi Richard,

I've actually been using the Fluid Mask demo for some time now and I have to say it's excellent.

The way the plugin works is to automatically create an 'Image Information Layer' on your image from which you can apply and adjust different masks using a variety of tools to create Delete, Keep or Complex Area masks.

You can then use the Pencil or Brush Tool to pick up or remove areas or use a Pen style tool to adjust edges pixel by pixel along a path. However the software does such a good job of automatically finding edges on its own with its One-Mask function that you'll hardly have to use this tool to tweak it.

Well worth taking the time to try out.

Hope this helps,
Diane.

Hi Randman,

I've never used Corel's Knockout.

Out of interest have you tried the Fluid Mask demo yet and how does it compare with Knockout?

Dianne.

I've not tried Fluid Mask yet. Looks interesting though I'm always leery of PS add-ons that don't do squat.
