I want to do a bit of color alteration to an image I found. I am not sure I fully know the differences between hue, saturation, and all the other color stuff in photoshop, so I thought I'd ask here. What I want to do is change the greens in this image:

So that they'll better match this green: Blahblahblah (Hex value is #CCCC99, RGB value is 204,204,153)

Sorry if it's a bit bright against the white. I know that most of the color alterations are under the Image menu, and then Adjustments, but I have no idea which one to use and how to get it the way I want. Can anybody help with this? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: It'd also be cool if, instead of having the image fade into white at the end, if I could have it fade into that shade of green.

Update: I found a different image and altered the colors the way I wanted. However, due to size issues, I simply stuck gradients on each side of the image to fade into the color of the original background color of the header on my website. However, it appears that on Safari (and ONLY Safari) it messes up the color and makes the color of the gradient darker. It doesn't look terrible, but it is a bit annoying. On Firefox, however, it looks perfectly normal. See for yourself:

Ok, I learned a good way to avoid this would be to, instead of gradienting into that shade of green, gradient into complete transparency and save as a PNG so that, regardless of browser, it blends into the correct color. Any help on how to do this?
