I don't do professional work on my Mac...it's my personal computer, but I've gotten into Digital Scrapbooking and have collected almost 500 fonts. Well, I found out it doesn't work too well to load them all and CS doesn't recognize new fonts unless I close the program and restart it. (I'm using Pather.) It's a pain, but I'm not sure I am willing to spend $100+ for a "professional" font program.
Is there any good font programs out there that are less costly and work well. I don't need a bunch of features...just somewhere I can preview my fonts with standard and custom text, activate and deactivate as I need them and possibly be able to create collections (so I can group my bitmap fonts and dingbats together for easier searching).
Or am I going to have to suck it up and pay more than I feel I should for some fancy program? It sucks...I'm already having to pay more than I expected for my photo manager.
