I was editing some graphics earlier and noticed something strange that I remember seeing a while back as well - my font list stops in Photoshop right after "Symbol". According to Font Book I have nearly 500 fonts installed - can Photoshop not handle that many fonts in its program? Even basic fonts like Tahoma and Verdana aren't showing up. Anyone know why? Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

What version of OSX? What version of Photoshop?

i have over 1400 fonts installed and they're all activated by extensis when photoshop is open, i don't ever have this problem so i'm farily positive that photoshop isn't the problem.

I have had this same problem at my job. The fonts were showing up in microsoft office 2004, but not in any adobe programs. When we just upgraded to Tiger, I ended up not installing any of my fonts that I had brought from home.

Sometimes, Photoshop fails to collect and load all the fonts that you have installed. Although it's not a big problem, just re-install Photoshop, the problem will be fixed itself.
